4 reasons to NOT delete your Tinder account
You're probably reading this article because you want to delete your Tinder account, but don't do it! There are many reasons why you shouldn't delete your account.
Here are a few:
1. You’ll miss out on opportunities to meet new people
If you are new in a city, Tinder is an amazing app to meet new people. People who share the same interests as you and that can be your new friends or even a part of your life.
2. You may miss the potential love of your life
Maybe the next person you will match with will make you laugh. Maybe the two of you will hit it off and will agree on a date. Maybe this date will go incredibly well and your life will never be the same...
Talking about this, we all know that sometimes the person who lives closest to us is not always the best fit for our personalities or lifestyles, so don’t be afraid to branch out and expand your dating pool! And Tinder is the perfect app for this, with millions of people from all around the world.
3. You'll lose all your current matches and discussions
If you delete your Tinder account, you will automatically lose your current matches and discussions.
Of course, you can just sign up for a new account if you change your mind.
But it wouldn't be the same without all of the conversations you had with other users. If there is anything in particular that made Tinder fun to use, it's the people you met.
Keep that in mind before you delete your account and start over.
4. If done too often, this will damage your ELO score
Your Tinder ELO is an estimation that represents how much your profile is appreciated by the other users on the app. The higher it is, the more likely you are going to have success with matches and conversations.
Deleting too often can possibly damage this score, so keep in mind what could happen before purposefully deleting your account!

5 good reasons to delete Tinder
Tinder is a dating app that allows users to chat with nearby people. It provides the convenience of browsing through potential dates without having to leave home.
The concept sounds harmless, but there are many reasons why you should delete your account and stop using this app for good.
Below are 5 reasons why deleting Tinder makes sense.
1. Tinder can be very addictive
Tinder is like a game. You get to see who likes you, and if the feelings are mutual, then you can chat with them for free. This creates an illusion that there is plenty of fish in the sea just waiting to be caught by your fishing rod!
Because of that, you keep on swiping right until someone bites...
Spending hours of your precious precious time when there are other things that need to be done also.
Using Tinder is fine, you just need to be aware of this ;)
2. Tinder can be detrimental to self-esteem
Tinder can be harmful to your self-esteem, but don't worry. People are not really judging you online; they're just seeing the pictures and information that you post.
The solution is simple: work on getting a better profile picture or add more details about yourself in order for people to see only your best side!
The best thing being: we can help you to get there!
ROAST, the first A.I. that helps you to improve your Tinder profile.
3. You have been shadowbanned
Are you tired of not getting any matches on your Tinder account?
You’ve been using the same profile for months, but still, no one is swiping right... Maybe you have been shadowbanned!
If that's the case, deleting your Tinder account can help you get your matches back in a matter of hours. We recommend you read this full guide that helps you to recover from a Tinder shadowban.
4. You want to reset your matches
We all have been there. You're swiping left and right on Tinder, trying to find your perfect match. Then you hit a wall; it's the dreaded "No Matches" screen. In that case, you're going to want to reset your matches.
You can easily do this by deleting the Tinder app or, even better, by doing a hard reset of your Tinder account. This will guarantee you a fresh start. New account, new ELO, new life!
5. You already met the love of your life
If that's the case, congratulations!
In that case, you may not need Tinder anymore 😉
The step-by-step guide to delete your Tinder profile
If you want to delete your Tinder profile, the process is quite simple.
Just be sure to follow these steps:
Step 1: Cancel your subscription
Depending on how you subscribed to Tinder, your subscription could not be automatically canceled when you delete your account.
This is the case if you purchased it using:
- Apple ID
- Google Store
If you subscribed using your credit card (either directly in the app, or on tinder.com) then your subscription will be canceled.
How to cancel my Tinder subscription?
This is pretty straightforward once you know where to go. Hopefully, we got your back!
You'll find here both methods for iOS and Android users.
- Go to the settings of your iPhone
- Tap on your name, then go to Subscriptions
- Select Tinder subscription
- Tap on Cancel Subscription
- Open the Google Play Store
- Open the Menu icon and go to Subscriptions
- Select Tinder subscription
- Tap on Cancel subscription
Step 2: Go to Settings
You'll find the settings by clicking on the User Icon, then the Settings Icon.
Step 3: Scroll down and tap on Delete Account
In Settings, you'll find various parameters that are worth adjusting or updating. But what interests us today is the button at the very last: Delete Account.
Step 4: Select Delete Account (permanently)
Tinder will offer you to just pause your account.
If you just want a break this could be a good idea but this won't delete your account. And you will not get a fresh start (if combined with a hard reset).
You can select any reason or just click on SKIP at the top-right corner.
Step 5: Uninstall the Tinder app
This step is pretty straightforward, all you need to do is:
- Touch and hold the app,
- Then tap on Remove / Uninstall (depending on your device)
In a nutshell
